CIERA DANIEL, M.Ed
Ciera Daniel is a transformative educator, strategic creator, and
public health equity advocate, dedicated to reducing inequalities and improving outcomes for vulnerable populations.
With a degree in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, and a Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University, Ciera has seamlessly integrated her academic and professional background with her personal convictions, focusing on urban education, ministry, adolescent development, and public health. Ciera's desire to make multi-generational impact is rooted in her spending hours watching her grandmother teach high-school English in the city of Baltimore as a young girl.

Ciera's educational initiatives are rooted in her time with Teach for
America (TFA) in Baltimore, where she taught middle school English at the Academy for College and Career Exploration (ACCE). She later became the Program Director for the Middle Grades Partnership (MGP), where she developed a media literacy curriculum that equips minority students to critically engage with and counteract negative stereotypes, empowering them to alter their narratives and self-perceptions. Ciera served as an advisor at the Friendship Outreach Center, where she supported food security, housing assistance, and workforce development programs. She also is the Co-founder and Founding Executive Director of Young Kings' Leadership Academy, serving Black male middle school students in Baltimore, inspiring and supporting their educational and personal development.

Beyond the classroom, Ciera's expertise as a media strategist comes to the fore in her role as the founder of God is Here Media. This platform is dedicated to creating media content that promotes healing and supports public health education, influenced by her insight into the disproportionate amount of time youth spend engaged with media compared to in traditional educational settings.

Ciera has trained several youth serving organizations in Adolescent Youth Development and Sexual Health with RnD Associates since 2018. Additionally, she is a contributor to "The Teen Years Explained: A Guide to Healthy Adolescent Development," published by Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, focusing on how media affects adolescents. She is also a contributor to the Guidebook on Promoting Sexual Health in Black Churches, and a lead for the development of youth training modules on Sexual Health with RnD Associates.

Her work has garnered recognition and support from prestigious bodies, including as a Community Fellow of the George Soros’ Open Society Institute and a Young Leader by the Annie E. Casey Foundation. Ciera’s leadership and dedication were also celebrated when she was named a Baltimore Orioles Birdland Community Hero. As a 2017 Baltimore Corps fellow, Ciera worked with a local nonprofit, managing and mobilizing over 300 volunteers toward one mission.

Ciera’s commitment is further exemplified through her collaborations with global brands such as Puma, Chick-fil-A, Coca-Cola, and JP Morgan Chase, through the Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation, broadening her impact on global adolescent health and helping families thrive. Ciera through God is Here Media continues to be a dynamic force leveraging media to foster social reforms, transformative education, and improved health outcomes. Ciera is a mother of two and the author of the children’s faith-based book, “God is Here.” She is also proud to have published her 6 year old daughter’s book, “This Unicorn Can Fly Over the Moon” by Anani Daniel.
